The 3x power magnification is higher than I would like it to be, but is pretty much standard for the industry. I have had no trouble with the scope mounts since I have had the xbow. As daylight get stronger, the intensity can be increased to a higher setting. At first light, the lowest setting should be used, or the bright light can wash out the target. The dots can be illuminated with red or green light via a simple adjustment on the side of the scope. That really helps with my trifocal glasses. There is a simple focus ring on the back of the scope that allows a crystal clear view of the cross hairs and dots. Each distance has a vertical and horizontal line with a dot at the intersection. Since I have had the Titan for 3 years, I have to adjust a slight amount for the longer ranges, as the bow has lost some speed over the years. The 20, 30, 40, and 50 yard settings work well for a new bow. The scope is well matched to my Ten Point. That scope was damaged in an accidental miss fire of my Xbow. This scope is a replacement for the original one that came with my Titan Xl. Always know and obey all state hunting regulations before using this device. I went back and shot my crossbow several times with the lens covers down and it shot low everytime. The only thing different was that the see thru scope covers were down when my arrow hit the target low and i'm guessing they made the difference in accuracy. I opened the see thru lens covers and fired my crossbow again and it was on target. I couldn't understand why it was shooting low. By chance, in a couple of hours, I went to shoot my bow again and had my scope see thru lens covers down when I fired my crossbow and it was 8 inches low on the target. UPDATE: While shooting my crossbow with this new scope, I had it zeroed in at 40 yds. I am very pleased and can't wait for deer season! I had my doubts about it being that accurate, but it proved me wrong. That is the only negative thing I have to say, but I would recommend it to anyone to buy it. On the low side, I found a little too much glare, but it will work good. The only drawback that I have found is the lighted reticle. I zeroed in at 20 yds Next, I set the speed ring for my crossbow speed and zeroed it at 40 yds and it worked perfect.
